On June 19, 2020, Manitoba, in its latest draw, invited 181 candidates from overseas as well as inside of Canada.
When a candidate is nominated by the province, he receives a Letter of Advice to Apply (LAA), which enables him to apply for a provincial nomination for a Canadian permanent resident visa.
The LAAs were made out to candidates who are eligible under the following Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) streams:
- Skilled Workers in Manitoba: 111
- Skilled Workers Overseas: 58
- International Education Stream: 12
Ten of the 181 invited candidates had profiles in the Express Entry system.
In 2020, up to date, Manitoba has issued LAAs to 2,335 immigration candidates.
