On July 7 British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) invited 57 candidates to apply under their Tech Pilot program.
BC PNP issues weekly draws under the Tech Pilot program to candidates who have a job offer in selected tech occupations from a British Columbia employer. To be selected, the applicant must have at least 120 days remaining on the 365-day offer.
Applicants of the BC PNP Tech Pilot program receive prioritized processing from provincial immigration authorities related to:
- Service: a dedicated BC PNP concierge for tech employers provides tailored information and navigation assistance for immigration programs and processes.
- Prioritization: tech applications are prioritized during processing to meet the sector’s fast-paced demands.
- Engagement: continuous support is provided to tech sector employers through proactive engagement activities and participation in key industry events.
BC Tech Pilot PNP requirements
In order to receive an invitation from the pilot program, candidates must be registered under both the federal Express Entry system and B.C.’s Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS). In addition, the candidate must also have an offer of employment from a BC employer in the technology field in one of the following 29 occupations. Refer to the complete list here.
